TGIF!
OMG! Weekend *clings*

So far my NaNo efforts haven't been so great. I've started, but I'm behind. I keep having trouble keeping my eyes open while writing. I need to put some serious effort into it this weekend.

I also need to work on my SG-1 teamfic! Gah!

Also, I should get my NaNo filter together in the next day or so, so if you'd still like to be on it, let me know, if you haven't said so already. For the record, I'd love to be on any of your NaNo filters.

*sigh* Here I try again...

My NaNo goals have already crashed and burned, and it's November 2nd. I'm trying to readjust the goals and try again. I wish I could have gone to our local kickoff party, that really might have helped.

Same here. But I'm going to keep trying! I need something positive as a goal right now.

Are there any other events in your area? I missed the kick-off, but we have a second week gathering this coming week and I'm making sure I go.

Ugh, I know the feeling - day 2 and I'm taking the day off. But I have a godawful headache. 28 more days to go, and eight of them weekend days, it's still perfectly possible! We can do it!

I woke up with a migraine yesterday so I know how you feel. Plus I have teamficathon looming and I'm pretending I can accomplish both this month ;)

We'll do just fine!

I am too ashamed to admit to my word count so far, so yeah, I'm behind too. lol I'm rooting for ya, though. I'm sure you will do great!

I've wimped out and only gone for mini_wrimo, but I'd love to be added to your NaNo filter. And don't be to disheratened - it's early days yet. Just think of it as ... lulling the fic into a false sense of superiority before you attack it again!

Okay, sure! I'll add you on.

That's it. I will surprise it. It story shall never see it coming! Bwahahaha!

What's mini_wrimo anyway?

mini_wrimo is for those of us who aren't crazy ambitious enough to aim for 50,000 words, but still want to join in the NaNo frenzy. It works on a daily basis - at the start of the month you commit to a daily word target (anything over 100 words), and then every day you comment and say how many you've done and if you've met your target.

It's working for me so far - my biggest problem with writing is getting organised enough to do it every day, so the daily target is a good way for me to approach things. I may even end up with a semi-decent fic out of it :)

I met the goal on the first day, but the second one was all full of work and ARRGGH. Our biggest client has this huge project that needs to be done by Sunday, and I didn't even get a copy of it to proofread until Friday noon. So I was at work 'til 7:30, and then I had a Halloween party with some good friends that I certainly wasn't going to miss.

So yeah, I'm at work again on a Saturday, waiting for the second round of proofing. Hopefully I'll be able to get in some good writing while I wait.

On the positive side, I'm really enjoying the new world I'm creating, and already there are lots of fun characters and stuff. So I hope that it will turn out okay, even though I have no plot.
